It will probably take a ton of ram, with 2 operating systems and acad loaded but Ive seen windows apps run under virtual pc and they seemed to perform well.

I would bet that it does.

All that means is that Autodesk wont help you get Acad to work with the unsupported OSs in that list.

Acad 2004 is not supported on Win 98, but I got Acad to work with it.

The Virtual PC they are talking about is suppose to emulate a Windows system within the Mac OS (fools Acad into thinking its being loaded and running on a Windows system, not a Mac).

But its gonna have to emulate Win2000 or WinXP for anything newer than Acad 2002 to even begin to really think about working.

Its been several years but where I used to work several people ran AutoCAD under VPC on their G4 laptops.

I did not personally do that so I cant give personal experience but I can also tell you that these people did not complain about the speed much.

Its important to note that we did not do any 3D work there either, I would think that would make a difference.
